Commenting on this year’s congress theme, “Collective Craft, New Age Tourism,” AKTOB President Kaan Kavaloğlu stated, “We see tourism as the craft of serving people through people. The human factor, which lies at the core of tourism, collectively forms the components of tourism through its roles across different fields. This land, which has been the homeland of thousands of civilizations, breathes life and soul into our tourism sector, embodying a true craftsmanship of hospitality ingrained within its people. As a collective element, tourism today is a key sector for our national development—providing jobs to millions, bringing foreign currency to our country, and strengthening the international perception of Türkiye. With its ever-growing business volume, our sector has created destinations that lead both nationally and globally. Today, we can confidently say that global tourism is incomplete without Türkiye and Antalya. We hold a leading position in many source markets, and we are intensely working to grow side markets aimed at different regions.

We are facing a new and renewed world, and this changing world necessitates innovation and adaptation in the tourism sector, just as in all sectors. New factors that guide trends and demands are emerging. In this context, to sustain our stable growth and move towards sustainable tourism, we must follow the agenda, keep up with new trends, and adopt fresh perspectives.
